Caring for your Feather Boas

What To Do When You First Receive Your Boas:

Feather boas are bound to shed a few feathers when you first take them out of the package. We recommend that you shake the boas gently but firmly to remove excess feathers and minimize the loss of more feathers in the future. Shaking the boas out once you remove them from the package will also help them to expand and regain their fluffiness.

Washing The Feather Boas:

If you ever need to wash your feather boa, soak it in warm soapy water with a light dish soap and then hang it up to dry. Do not dry them with direct heat, i.e. a blow dryer or a drying machine. Keep in mind, the dye in our boas is not colorfast, and contact with water will cause the colors to bleed. Therefore, it is not recommended to wash them with clothing or other items that are unlike colors.
